Identity has been surveyed from different perspectives, from anthropology to semiotics. The system of clothing has been regarded as one of the most signs of semiotic in understanding the individual states, morals, and spirits drawn by Rolan Barthes (1915-1980), one of the most figure theoreticians, so that the matters of clothing as a cultural and social identity that can explain a person’s identity. This system has a specific function in the movies to form the character of individuals. In this research, the main character of the Gabbeh movie by the object of explanation of clothing as a significant factor in the semiotic system of points of Barthes’s view was analyzed. The costumes are of paramount importance in creating characters in cinema, and the primary goal of the research would be to analyze the affection for the color of clothes in forming the moods of a single character in different situations.
Meanwhile, this type of research is necessary to survive cultural and tribal identity. It turns out that the harmony of colors can define the dominant atmosphere in a film, and single color with its spectrum can change diverse spiritual moods.
